La solidarité...?

Not to worry, all is well in Lille. The students are blocking campus today, so I didn't have to go to class and attempt to learn - ironically enough - about labor movements in France.

If you didn't know, there has been a bit of unrest in France.


Last night, I didn't get to see Orlando or the concert because the metro was shut down and no other viable options for getting to Lille existed. I'm a little angry about this. Workers of France, you owe me 13 euros. Though, I'd rather have the utility I purchased with those euros. But you can't get that back for me, can you? News flash: bringing my economic activity to a halt will not help your long term budget problems. Just so you know.

Almost fall break. If no update before Aunt Widdy and Aunt Dede arrive, I will post a fall break recap after next week. (Read: silence on here will not indicate that I've been arrested for throwing a brick through a window.)
